Sterilisation for Hospitals

Sterilisation for HospitalsStandard Service
Andersen Caledonia offers a low temperature sterilisation service for hospitals with heat sensitive instruments using ethylene oxide gas. The service includes courier pick-up and delivery, sterilisation with ethylene oxide, labelling of each device with date of sterilisation and release after a quality assurance review of physical and biological data. This service requires the customer to provide the product clean and packed. Rigid transportation containers are provided for shipping either 30 or 60 litres in size.  Normal turnaround is 5 working days.

Rapid Service
This new service is offered to customers who require a fast turnaround ethylene oxide sterilisation. Product collected by courier in the afternoon on day 1 is processed the following day 2. On day 3 the product is released using rapid biological indicator data. The product is then returned for delivery before 9am on day 4.

Long Lumen Devices
This service is offered for instruments with long lumens such as flexible endoscopes. The devices are sterilised using ethylene oxide with deep vacuums to ensure penetration of the gas and a long gas dwell time to ensure sterilisation

Bone Flaps
Recent studies have shown that ethylene oxide is the method of choice for sterilizing bone flaps. Andersen Caledonia processes flaps using its small low vacuum chamber.

Laboratories / Research Centres
The same service(s) are also offered to laboratories or research centres requiring low temperature ethylene oxide sterilisation of devices
